Show The World Your Private Collection The field of antique textiles is one in which collectors can still find masterpieces to add to their collections. Most antique textiles today remain in private hands and only a rare few are shown for the eyes of the public. Museums which house important collections (certain have literally millions of pieces in storage) show a very limited sample of what they possess. Many of them don't have consistent inventories as there are relatively few experts who are qualified to evaluate and analyse the contents. In addition, when a collector donates his collection to a musuem, the probability that it will remain stored in a closet is very high. If you are a textile collector or if you have the desire to become one, A Textiles Lover's Diary in association with AnticR offers you the possibilty to make your collection available to view on the internet. There are several different possibilities available (of course including anonymity), all of which exist on a non-profit basis, and with the singular goal of bringing these treasures out of the closet and into the light of day!
